Dear Evolve Dental Patients (formerly Tobin Dental Care patients),
I hope you are all having a fantastic start to 2025! My name is Dr. Ken Kim, and I am honored to introduce myself as the new owner of Tobin Dental Care. I have some exciting announcements to share and wanted to take this opportunity to formally introduce myself and share my dental philosophy with you.
About Dr. Kim
I was born in South Korea in 1982, and when I was 10 years old, my father, an engineer at LG Electronics, was transferred to Huntsville, AL. That marked the beginning of my journey in the United States. I later moved to San Diego, California, during high school and attended San Diego State University for my undergraduate studies. After college, I made the decision to move to the NY/NJ area and enrolled at Rutgers School of Dental Medicine, where I earned my dental degree in 2009.
Following dental school, I completed a one-year General Practice Residency at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. Soon after, in 2010, I made the exciting decision to become a dental practice owner and purchased a practice in Plainview, NY.
For the past 14 years, I have dedicated myself to building strong relationships with my patients in Long Island. My practice grew consistently each year, largely due to my commitment to investing in advanced dental technology. My philosophy has always been guided by a piece of advice from one of my dental school professors: “Take care of the patients, and everything else will take care of itself.”
Now Bringing Advanced Dentistry to Garden City
From same-day crowns and computer-guided implant surgery to advanced laser dentistry, I have continually sought to master cutting-edge technology to provide the most accurate and efficient care possible. My decision to expand to Garden City was driven by my desire to bring this level of modern dentistry to even more patients.
Office Renovations
As part of this vision, we are undertaking a full office renovation to align with our philosophy of advanced, patient-centered care. This includes state-of-the-art dental chairs, updated cabinetry, and a refreshed, modern office environment. To complete these upgrades, the office will be closed from Monday, February 10th, to Sunday, March 3rd. While we are aiming to complete renovations within this timeframe, there may be minor delays depending on construction progress. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we enhance your dental experience.
During the renovation period, we will continue to accommodate emergencies at our Plainview office, and our Garden City team will be available during normal business hours to assist with any questions.
